After a brief visit, continue to Azrou, where you can walk through the cedar forests and see the famous Barbary macaques that inhabit the area. Next, head to Midelt for lunch, and then continue your journey through the mountainous landscapes, arriving at the Todra Gorges in the late afternoon. The Todra Gorges is a stunning natural site, with towering cliffs and a deep canyon carved by the river. You’ll spend the night in a local guesthouse or hotel with views of the gorges.

Day 2: Todra Gorges to Merzouga

After breakfast, you’ll have some time to explore the Todra Gorges on foot, taking in the breathtaking views and the natural beauty of the area. Afterward, you’ll head to Erfoud, a town known for its fossil workshops and its role in the desert landscape. Here, you can visit a local fossil workshop or explore the market before continuing your journey to Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Once you arrive, you’ll prepare for a camel trek into the desert. You’ll ride across the dunes as the sun sets, creating a perfect photo opportunity. After reaching the desert camp, you’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and Berber music around the campfire under the stars.

Day 2: Merzouga to Fes

On the final day, you’ll wake up early to catch the stunning sunrise over the dunes before enjoying breakfast at the camp.
